Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Officials in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, said that a headless and severely decomposed body of a man was discovered floating in a drain.
Superintendent of Police City Meerut, Piyush Singh, confirmed that the body had been sent for a post-mortem examination. Despite their best efforts, investigators have not yet come across any substantial leads or information that could identify the deceased individual.
The horrifying discovery was made in a drain behind the Agriculture University, which is under the jurisdiction of Meerut's Daurala police station. Cops arrived at the location as soon as they received the information and immediately began investigating the victim's missing head.
The police have been scanning the CCTV footage from the area's security cameras, trying to identify any individual involved in the disposal of the body in the drain. The investigation is still ongoing.
